The sister album to the last album:
ONE PLUCKING THING AFTER ANOTHER
is
AND ANOTHER PLUCKING THING.
It is not “too” unsettling but just “a little bit different”, featuring twisted interpretations of classic songs, rarities, obscurities and all-time favourites, compiled from recordings made over the last few years, live and “as live” in the studio.
There are examples of “pre-loved” music and “re-makes”, including Girls Aloud, ZZ Top, Tom Waits, T Rex, The Police, Cab Calloway, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Bob Dylan, The Cure, The Eurythmics, Fats Waller, a Eurovision Hit, and a piece of Toe-Tapping Hokum.
It features eleven vocalists and soloists from the UOGB’s pre and post-lockdown team and includes songs such as Love Machine, Children of the Revolution and Gimme all your Lovin’ (this version was admired by yer actual ZZ Top).
Only available from the UOGB, containing a lot of beats, and a lot of singing, but mainly a lot of plucking - from folk to funk to rock to 1920s jazz, here’s another plucking CD.
