Live in London #1

Here it is - with no backing tracks, no overdubs, no guitars, no pianos and (certainly) no banjos - a selection of recordings from the Ukulele Orchestra's live concerts. Straight from the mixing desk like those 1960s "Grateful Dead" hits, with all the ad-libs and spontaneity that an audience loves to be a part of. It comes complete with screams of delight, catcalls, heckling, fan adulation, chanted choruses and authentic, unadorned flights of fancy on those tricky ukulele runs. You can sense the atmosphere, smell the greasepaint, hear that crowd roar, as they laugh, cheer and shed the occasional tear - it's almost like being there!

Sixteen tracks from fans' wish lists, including killer versions of some old songs in versions evolved over years of constant touring, presented here for the very first time: The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Live in London.
